16 PERSONALITY TEST EVENT

“To know yourself, you must sacrifice the illusion that you already do.”

Vironika Tugalev

Have you ever asked yourself what makes us who we are? Why do some people behave and act in certain ways? How is our personality different from the people around us?

Well, I did.

In my opinion, developing more awareness about our tendencies, the ones of other people and how or why these might be different can help us to manage our emotions and behaviors in a more flexible and functional way.

For this reason, I organized the "16 Personality Test Event" with the ICDET crew as an activity about self-reflection and team building's aspects.

The goal is to create and spread personal and professional awareness provoking important reflections on different aspects about ourselves and our reactions to situations, both emotional and behavioral ones.

Indeed, this activity has been useful for each of the members to better recognize how we lead, influence, communicate, collaborate, negotiate and manage ourselves, our relations and our stressful periods. This type of activity gave us the opportunity to develop discussions and comparisons in an atmosphere full of curiosity and enthusiasm. We discovered more about how we can improve our leadership style, our tendencies and strategies to resolve conflicts, to communicate more effectively, to understand how others make decisions and to improve our skills.

Knowing better ourselves and our personality is something fundamental to lead our lives free from automatisms and in a conscious way: you are the first person that you see in the morning and the last one whom you have to manage going to bed at night.

This activity is important not only to know yourself better but also to change point of view and be aware about how many different perspectives and ways of being there are in this world.

Each person is a different little world that waits to be discovered and so do you.. what are you waiting for?

Start with this little step to open your eyes, I leave you here the direct link https://www.16personalities.com/ to do the test, at the end you will also find funny information about famous people with your same personality type and tendencies!

My name is Katia, I'm 22 years old and I live in Ischia, an island in the gulf of Naples. I’m in love with my little island because the simplicity is at the order of day. I call it “paradise with palm trees”.

In December I graduated in Biological science at the University Federico II in Naples and when I attended the lessons I had a house in the city. I would like to continue my studies by doing a major in Genetics and molecular biology. My dream would be to make a strong contribution to research in this area. The university years change me a lot. I met many people, like my professor and colleagues, who made me more and more passionate about studying.

I really like Biology in all its fields and I believe in science.

I have always been curious since I was a child. I like to know how the events happened and give an explanation to this.

My thought is that there are many undiscovered things in the world who are waiting for us to come out.

There are also many obstacles in our way that only with science and with knowledge or rather the desire to know, we can break them down. Thanks to this we can give a contribution at the evolutionary level.

One of the many things that make me feel good is being part of the Red Cross volunteers.

I’m proud to be part of such a close-knit group. With them I learned a lot of things like how to behave in an emergency situation. I also got an ambulance license and that made me feel really important and useful for others. Since I joined the red cross I feel alive because I found a second family to rely on to help each other.

In my free time I like to go for a run or walk with my dog. Running relaxes me a lot, It is my way to switch off even though I have many commitments.

I am always looking for ways to improve and grow. I give my all to reach my goals in spite of any hardships I might meet along the way. With ICDET I would like to increase my skills in any field, overcome my limits and set up a project that contains all my interests.

A theme that is close in my heart is Biodiversity or better “great variety”.

Biodiversity understood as ecological, species and genetic diversity is essential for life and evolution.

Without it, everything would be the same and the saying “The world is beautiful because it is varied” would not exist.

To conclude I would like to say that I’m happy to undertake this experience and I would like to learn as much as possible from others and leave my mark with my positivity.

Hi everyone! My name is Valentina, I’m 25 years old and I come from Caserta, but I

currently live in Bologna to accomplish my master’s degree in Local and Global

Development… and I’m not really good at talking about myself, but you’ll see on

your own.

I love wandering, discovering new places; traveling on the road is the best, sleep in a tent, climb mountains and at night just relax with your friends, or new acquaintances, maybe drinking something good all together (I really love craft beers!). My best friends often say that I’m always too enthusiastic and with my head in the clouds (which is actually true, and that makes me really clumsy sometimes, tripping or breaking things, but I’m funny, I swear) All my life I’ve always been curious about “others”, willing to learn about them, understand how they think and where they come from, so, I’ve always known that this would also be my focus for the future even if I didn’t know the specific field yet. Another part of me that has always been strong is the rebel one, when I was a child I was always the warrior princess who fought against the bad guys!

During my adolescence I joined a Scout group and this has changed forever my life, it makes me understand that what I actually do in my life was spent myself for others, helping them to achieve their dreams. It also shows me how important are others in the process, everyone has his or her little spark to add to make something possible, and that there’s always at least a 5% of good in everything, you just have to focus on it and keep trying.

I’ve always been an idealistic person, and as I said before, always dreaming, swifting from a passion to another and it makes me so sad and angry knowing that not all children in the world can have the same possibilities I had. So, here’s where all my inclinations combine themselves, I dream big I know, but the point is just “doing your best” like Scouts always said. I do believe in an equal, pacific and fair world, as I do believe in the goodness of humankind, and this is my purpose. I chose to come here at ICDET to prove myself in a multicultural team, improving my skill to work with others and my ability in creating development projects. I also hope to contribute with my knowledge and my ideals in making my colleagues' experience a good one.
